Women's Mentoring

Flourish is a year–long Bible–based study with a mentor or mentee that has been chosen just for you. 

Similar to an Essentials course, Life Group, or any concentrated program for growth, Flourish offers structure for your one-on-one time with the Lord that you will then share with another woman for a year. In Hebrew 4:12 we are told that “the Word of God is living and active” this means the Bible is so much more than words on a page but how to apply those words in our everyday life can be a challenge. In Flourish, you will be matched with a mentor where these challenging spots can be discussed and an action plan devised.  

Many women do both Flourish and a Life Group however we do recommend thinking through your schedule and capacity to make the best decision for you.  

We do not recommend doing the year-long CR Step Study at the same time as Flourish. CR Step Studies offers a great opportunity for deep self reflection and a sponsor. Because of the time and emotional commitment required we strongly recommend completing the CR step study before beginning your Flourish journey

This is up to each woman, we recommend you take some time to thoughtfully and prayerfully think through and evaluate your availability. Some pairs have celebrated marriages, babies and big events and stayed connected and engaged, but we have also had others who have found it challenging to stay engaged during busy or transitional seasons. Process this with someone you trust or reach out to us if you want to talk through it with one of our team members.  

The study is a Bible based curriculum with 5 daily prompts per week. Most of our participants have said that they typically take between 15-30 minutes a day.

We ask that pairs make plans to meet 2 times a month. This can be a coffee date or even a walk in the park. The average time pairs meet is 1-1 ½ hours. We understand sometimes unforeseen circumstances occur, but we consider these in-person meetings a priority and ask you try to reschedule if there is a need to cancel. 

We have found that a lack of instant chemistry doesn’t always mean a lack of spiritual connection. We ask for your trust and your prayers as we match mentors and mentees in the program. We strongly believe that if the Lord has brought you to a place of wanting a mentor/mentee that He has something for you during your time together. Maybe it will be through the mentor relationship or maybe it’s through the study but you won’t experience the full benefit unless you willingly commit to the journey together. If you are matched through Flourish, you will be assigned a mentor/mentee and will also be a part of a coaching group where you will have access to an experienced Coach to discuss any concerns you might have.  

We know life happens. The mentor-mentee relationship is rooted in grace and truth, not perfection. If you fall behind, don’t be discouraged, open communication is key. We encourage you to start fresh or work with your mentor to create a plan that allows you to catch up. 

Flourish is a year-long commitment, guided by a covenant both the mentor and mentee agree to. So the short answer is no, however, if challenges arise, we ask pairs to talk with their Coach before making any decisions. Often, with grace and care, there’s a way forward, and your Coach is there to help you find it.

Yes! If you already meet with someone, or have someone you have asked to mentor you, it could be a great idea to join Flourish. You will both be a part of program and included in our support system. This is approved on a case-by-case basis. The mentor will need to go through the application and interview process and be accepted as an official Flourish mentor, and the mentee will need to fill out an application as well. Both mentor and mentee would need to agree to the guidelines of the program. 

Mentees are asked to pay a $25 participation fee. 

All participants join FLOURISH through an application process. We can only accept the number of new mentees that matches the amount of mentors we have for the year.

Mentees fill out an application and are reviewed and prayed for by our team. Sometimes we fill up quickly. If this occurs, applicants are encouraged to email flourish@rockypeak.org to be placed on a waitlist to be contacted if space becomes available.

Mentors fill out an application and are asked to complete an in-person interview with our team. Sometimes our team discerns that an applicant is not ready to mentor in a particular season or would be better suited to first go through the program as a mentee. These are all handled case-by-case with the Flourish interview team.
