What comes to mind when you hear the word “gospel”? For many this word conjures up a wide variety of thoughts, emotions, images, and reactions. But for the first followers of Jesus, the gospel was their shorthand code for the life-changing message of Jesus. Join us as we jump back in to our deep dive of the letter from the Apostle Paul to the Romans as he unpacks the epic “Gospel of God.”
We often expect to encounter God in dramatic, “mountain-top” experiences. And while those are powerful, what about the “other” moments in our lives? When you’re stuck in traffic, folding laundry or taking out the trash… is God there as well? Those seemingly ordinary moments are the moments we spend most of our lives in, and the beautiful truth is that God is with us in every moment. Join us for this special, stand-alone message as we learn how the Spirit opens our eyes to see the extraordinary in every moment.
Giving our lives to Jesus means He transforms us from being dead sinners to resurrected sons and daughters, now living in a brand-new day. However, when we inevitably encounter trials, temptations and suffering, often sin can tempt us to look backwards and even yearn for how life “used to be.” Join us for this special two-week series in which we’ll learn how to keep our eyes fixed on the new and how to depend on the Spirit to say goodbye to our old ways.
