Kids With Special Needs Event
Fantastic Friends is an organization that helps special needs kids by creating events for them that have enriching social interactions. They are looking for volunteers between 12-19 to interact with these kids. Adults are also welcome for set up and tear down. The next event is January 27 from 12:00 - 2:00 pm. ZOE is an anti-human trafficking organization devoted to
rescuing child trafficking victims and promoting the Good News of Jesus Christ.
They do this by educating communities and providing them the resources to help
end human trafficking. Their mission is to reach every person and rescue every
child with the love and compassion of God. Volunteers are needed to perform
clean-up and maintenance work at their newest site in Acton.
San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission
SFVRM’s program has been designed to provide homeless men, women, children and families an opportunity, not only to obtain food, shelter, and basic life necessities, but also a foundation for individual and family restoration by developing a personalized plan based on their needs for achieving personal growth, employment, and housing. They currently need volunteers to help prepare meals for the week in the commercial kitchen as part of the Saturday Supper Club- Saturdays 11am-4pm once a month commitment. Volunteer cooks are trained and help with prepping meals for the week. Their lead volunteer chef plans the recipes and delegates individual tasks. This is a fun and great way to help provide healthy and balanced meals for our guests.
Also, Dinner Hosting- Volunteers can come and dinner host for our guests by bringing a catered meal or cooking in our kitchen! (no one under 16 is permitted in the kitchen)
Once a month Hope Gardens hosts a Saturday work day where they invite volunteers of all ages to help keep their community clean, well-maintained and safe. Work day tasks may consist of gardening, painting, cleaning community spaces, and preparing residential rooms for incoming families.
Family Rescue Center
The rescue center serves those in need with food, clothing, medical assistance, and vocational training scholarships that encourage independence. Volunteers are needed to clean the facility, do yard trimming, sort clothing, clean and organize the pantry and make PB&J sandwiches.
Volunteers needed to count the homeless in a designated area and time in the valley to assist various local homeless services better serve their community.
Ronald McDonald House
Their aim is to create a community where children and their families embrace life with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage, and joy through the given comfort, care and support provided by Ronald McDonald House. Volunteers are needed to come alongside these families and their children with severe health problems and provide support during the event’s activities.
Bassett St. River Project
Volunteers are needed to clean up a recreational area that runs along the L.A. river near Bassett St. Clean up tasks might include trash pickup, minor maintenance and mending, trimming of shrubs, and pulling weeds.
Hope Gardens Family Center
Hope Gardens Family Center is an oasis of hope on 71 acres in the foothills of Sylmar, California. This transitional housing campus offers sanctuary to single women and children who are experiencing homelessness. They help women transition from homelessness to independence within 12 to 36 months by offering long-term rehabilitation programs, services, and spiritual care.

Community Pregnancy Clinic
The Community Pregnancy Clinic (CPC) is a licensed medical clinic dedicated to helping women and families in unplanned pregnancies. We believe in empowering women through education and information to help her make the best decision for her physical, mental, and spiritual health. Our free services include ultrasound exams, pregnancy tests, STD/STI tests, post-abortion recovery, and sexual abuse recovery.
Only Hope Prison Ministries is focused on declaring the Word of God and the testimony of Jesus Christ to the inmates of the Los Angeles County jail system.
PALS is a youth program that helps youth develop good character and strong, positive attitudes toward police officers and the law through recreational and educational settings under the supervision and constructive influence of dedicated law enforcement professionals. The goal is to bridge the gap between youth and their respect for the law and the officers who enforce it.
ACTION was born out of a desire to network churches, agencies, and businesses together to collectively serve the needs throughout the community. It engages thousands of volunteers to serve on hundreds of projects which focus primarily on seniors, disabled residents, under resourced families, the homeless population, and at risk youth.
The Challenger Division was established in 1989 as a separate division of Little League to enable boys and girls with physical and mental challenges, ages 4 through adult to enjoy the game of baseball along with the millions of other children who participate in this sport worldwide.
Kids’ lives are dramatically impacted when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God’s love with them. They begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.
FAMILY RESCUE CENTER
We serve individuals and families in need in the West Valley by providing food, clothing, medical and vocational training assistance, as well as referrals as needed. Our goal is to sustain people in desperate circumstances, empowering them to achieve personal and fnancial independence. We believe we are commanded to do this because Jesus said "love your neighbors as yourselves."
