We believe the Bible is the Word of God and that it leads us to life. It’s our first grid for all of our teaching and decision making—and it is our ultimate authority for our lives. We believe it is the truth that sets us free. (John 8:31-32)
We believe the first step to growth in any area of our lives is radical honesty. So, our goal is to create a community where it is safe to be real, honest, and authentic. We believe Jesus always cares more about where we are going than where we have been.
We believe the message of Jesus is the most important message in all the world—but it needs to be communicated to each generation in a way that is fresh and compelling. This impacts everything we do from our style of worship and teaching to our casual dress code to the look and feel of our graphics and campus. Our goal is to create a place where someone who has never been to church can come and feel comfortable and start growing with us.
We believe the whole purpose of following Jesus is to become like Jesus. If we had to choose just one word to describe our vision, it would be transformation—to become the people we were created to be. Jesus once said, “The student is not above the teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like their teacher.” (Luke 6:40)
We believe that when we gather in His name, He is there—and that He will speak, lead, and guide us. This is why we place a high value on worship at our weekend services, small groups, and many other settings. Our goal is to encounter Him and experience His presence together.
We believe that if we want to be transformed and become like Christ, we need one another. We need each other’s love, encouragement, challenge, support, and accountability. This is why we have built our whole church around the small groups we call Life Groups. This is how we turn a big church into lots of small churches where we can pursue God, love one another, and do life together.
We believe the Christian life is a supernatural journey from beginning to end. In Philippians 1:6, the Apostle Paul writes, “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” We believe this. Our goal is to create a community that expects God to teach, lead, speak, empower, guide, heal, and answer prayer—a community that is naturally supernatural.
